First, if there's someone on this website who is incredibly talented and you absolutely love his or her art, then say so! Just because someone is way above your perception of your own skill level doesn't mean they are any less human (granted, in some cases one wonders...). Incredibly talented and experienced people often like talking to other aspiring artists and even giving out helpful tips! This artistic community provides such an excellent opportunity to learn from each other.
Second, putting thought into the comments you leave can make a world of difference to everybody. "That model is hot" is not helpful to the photographer, because, really, he or she photographed the model, but didn't create that model from scratch (with the exception of digital models). Likewise "So pretty!" is not particularly useful to the artist you leave a comment for. What about it is pretty? What was successful in making this piece aesthetically pleasing to you? The like.
Lastly, most everyone appreciates a good dialogue now and then, so show some love using those magic things called "words" every so often because adding someone's art to your favorites is like flashing a quick smile at someone as you pass each other in a crowded place; it lets the artist know that you noticed them and in a positive way, but it leaves no room for further growth or development.
Just some food for thought
